City of Westfield, Indiana

The Westfield Economic and Community Development Department is responsible for administering the zoning and subdivision control ordinances and the building code for Westfield and all of Washington Township. The department also issues building permits, performs construction inspections, enforces local codes, reviews development and construction plans and leads the efforts in community planning.

Additionally, the Economic and Community Development Department is responsible for the coordination of the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA ), Technical Advisory Committee (TAC ), and the Advisory Plan Commission (APC ). Economic and Community Development Staff helps to ensure agendas, meetings, discussions and decisions are in accordance with the local and other applicable regulations.
