On 4/19/18 at approximately 9:08am, Westfield Police and Fire Departments along with other agencies, responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash with injury in the 3500 block of W SR 32. Upon arrival, officers found a Buick sedan and Chevrolet SUV that were involved in a head-on collision.

Two adult occupants of one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. An adult driver and juvenile passenger of the second vehicle were alert and conscious at the scene and transported by ground ambulance to area hospitals.

Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash and make proper notifications to family members of the victims.

Westfield Police Department - Indiana shared Hamilton County Health Department - Indiana's post.

On 4/28/18 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs is participating in the DEA National Prescription Take Back Day. There will be drop off locations at Riverview Health – East parking lot, Sheridan Farmers Bank, and Cicero CVS. Liquids, sharps, and needles are NOT accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. For more information, please visit takebackday.dea.gov/.

The Westfield Police Department would also like to remind residents that there is a prescription drop box in the lobby of the Public Safety Building, located at 17535 Dartown Rd. This is available anytime during office hours Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

The drop-off provides a secure location for people to deposit unused prescription medication, and is part of a larger effort by the Indiana Attorney General's office to combat the misuse of prescription drugs.
