WESTFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES CARBON MONOXIDE
Westfield, IN- The Westfield Fire Department has received its first contribution for the Carbon Monoxide Detector Outreach program from Busby Eye Care. The donation will be used to buy carbon monoxide detectors for Westfield residents.
“Carbon monoxide poisoning is responsible for more than 400 deaths in the United States every year,” explains Westfield Fire Marshal Garry Harling. “CO detectors will alert residents of a natural gas leak in their home before it becomes deadly. Our goal is to eliminate the barrier of residents not having a CO detector by offering them one free of cost. Busby Eye Care has been gracious enough to be the first to contribute to our program.”
The Westfield Fire Department will be able to purchase 10 carbon monoxide detectors because of the recent donation. Harling hopes to collect $25,000 in donations for the program.
If you would like to give to the program, please email Garry Harling at email@example.com.
