Digital Marketing Coordinator

General Definition of Work

Performs coordinated marketing efforts through web and email graphics for the city of Westfield. Work is performed under the supervision of the Communications Director. Work hours are 7:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with 1 hour for lunch.

Essential Functions

Follows branding guidelines when creating material to ensure brand integrity and project quality

Creates polished infographics to meet the needs for each department within the City of Westfield

Creates logos for City of Westfield events

Creates marketing materials to be used to promote events, tournaments at Grand Park, events for city partners and sponsors, to support Grand Park sponsors and hospitality initiatives

Develops, implements and maintains the design and plan for the City of Westfield, Grand Park, Westfield Welcome, and Parks and Recreation’s websites and microsites

Manages the ongoing design and site architecture of the city of Westfield and Westfield Welcome websites

Develops, implements and maintains the knowledge base for the City of Westfield’s CRM system

Develops, implements and maintains the City of Westfield’s intranet city the WIRE

Creates social media infographics to be used on all social media forums and supports all City of Westfield departments

Design web elements

Assist with social media management of all city wide accounts

Assits with analyzing website traffic through Google Analytics

Performs other duties when needed


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of computer systems, web technologies (CRM) and emerging technologies

Having an advanced technical aptitute

Strong software knowledge: HTML, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on a PC platform

Good interpersonal skills, team player, and having a professional manner

Capable of multi-tasking

Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed

Directly managed by Communications Director


Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and considerable experience in graphic and web design or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing and repetitive motions, frequently requires standing and occasionally requires walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and operating motor vehicles or equipment; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).


Special Requirements

Valid driver's license in the State of Indiana.
