MAYOR COOK DELIVERS 2018 STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS

Westfield, IN – Mayor Andy Cook delivered Westfield’s 2018 State of the City address today at the Bridgewater Club.

The mayor discussed Westfield’s ten year anniversary as a city, and noted the city’s accomplishments over the past year in residential and commercial growth.

“The 10 years have flown by quickly and it amazes me how much has been accomplished during that time,” Mayor Cook said. “However, we have so much more to do.”

“Grand Park continues to succeed. Now we need to focus on the business of sports. We also need to continue quality growth by being progressive, but also committed to our rich small town heritage.”

Here are some highlights of the State of the City:

  • The 2017 Year in Review, which is a compilation of all of the city’s greatest accomplishments in the previous year.
  • Mayor Cook introduced the design for the Gateway Project, the signage entering into Westfield near the 146th Street and U.S. 31 Bridge.
  • Mayor Cook’s nomination by the U.S. Department of Transportation to participate on the National Advisory Committee on Travel & Tourism Infrastructure committee.
