The Westfield Public Works Department has complied and evaluated the 2006 performace measures and the numbers exceed expectations. 
Westfield Fire Department announced the hiring of David A. Rapp, Training and Safety Chief who will be responsible for all training and educational activities and incident safety for the Westfield Fire Department (WFD).

Westfield Town Manager, Jerry Rosenberger, announced that two Westfield Police Officers have been officially promoted.  Captain R. Scott Jordan, an 11 year veteran with the Westfield Police Department, has been promoted to Major, and Lieutenant Bobbie Gorrell, a 19 year veteran, has been promoted to Captain.  The promotion ceremony took place on Friday, December 15 at the Westfield Police Department. 

Westfield Town Manager, Jerry Rosenberger, announced that the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has Comp Plan Sub Committee Meetingcompleted the comprehensive plan (comp plan) and the town staff hopes that the new comp plan will be approved by the town council early this year.

Major Mike Allen at the promotion ceremonyWestfield Police Department's Major Mike Allen announced today the promotion of five police officers.  A promotion ceremony took place at 9am last Friday to officially promote the officers, and the entire staff and the promoted officers' families watched in celebration. 

Westfield Parks and Recreation Director, Curt Cooley, announced today that Westfield's new Splash Park and Skateboard Park are close to completion.  Although the grand opening for both parks will not occur until spring, 2007, the parks construction has been moving forward and ahead of schedule.

The Town of Westfield has announced that additional parking has been added in the downtown area to accommodate downtown merchants who are in need of parking for their employees and customers. 

Westfield Public Works Director, Bruce A. Hauk, announced that the Customer Service Center has  changed its hours of operation.  The current Customer Service hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm and now, the hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm.
