Westfield Public Works Director, Bruce A. Hauk, announced that the 2006 performance measures have been complied showing that the Public Works Staff has exceeded goals and expectations relating to nearly 30 performance measures established back in January.

Some of the exceeded performance measures are as follows:

• Work Orders completed increased by 207%
• Street overtime hours has decreased by 630%
• Road miles maintained have increased by 76%
• Chuckhole repairs have increased by 124%
• Inspection Fee revenue has increased by greater than 100%
• Street Sweeping hours have increased by 126%

"I am extremely proud of the staff for their accomplishments," says Bruce A. Hauk, Westfield Public Works Director. "This year, the Town annexed approximately 9 square miles of land and our department is now responsible for servicing that area. Even with the increased area, we still made significant advances in our performance," says Hauk.
