Specifically, the Town of Westfield requested that INDOT incorporate some aesthetics into their plans including planted medians, which were specifically requested by the community.  "It has been a pleasure working with INDOT over the last few months," says Westfield Town Council President, Andy Cook.  "We were able to work together for the good of the community and INDOT made a tremendous effort to make that happen," says Cook.

During this process, Westfield held meetings with the property owners affected by the INDOT improvement project in hopes of gathering critical information and opinions about the project.  After reviewing the information gathered from meetings with the property owners, INDOT agreed to incorporate changes into the plans.
