“Westfield Welcome” to Hold 2016 Volunteer Meeting

WESTFIELD, IN – The city of Westfield will host an informational meeting for interested “Westfield Welcome” volunteers at Grand Park on March 10, 2016, from 6-7:30pm.

“This meeting is to inform new and veteran volunteers about upcoming events and opportunities that the city will have in 2016,” said Erin Shockley, hospitality and volunteer coordinator for the city. “Volunteers are an important part of the visitor experience at Grand Park and city events because they provide superb hospitality and help showcase everything that Westfield has to offer.”

Volunteers will be useful for huge events, such as the upcoming weekend of April 22-24 with an estimation of 40,000 visitors. The Westfield Welcome initiative had a successful 2015 season, impacting the visitor experience for nearly 1 million unique visitors.
