WESTFIELD POLICE JOIN NO-SHAVE NOVEMBER TO RAISE MONEY

FOR A LOCAL RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM

Westfield, IN- The Westfield Police Department has committed to participating in the national movement No-Shave November. The goal of the month long journey is to bring awareness and raise funds for cancer research with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

“Westfield police follow strict guidelines when it comes to grooming standards, but this is an opportunity to bring awareness and raise money for cancer research and prevention,” explains Westfield Police Chief Joel Rush. “No-Shave November is a great initiative to not only help find a cure, but also to break down the barrier between police officers and residents.”

To participate officers and staff members must donate $30 to the Relay for Life team Shamrockin’ for a Cure. Residents can follow the progression on social media and donate to the officer of their choosing. Each participant has set a goal of raising $70 in hopes of meeting a department goal of raising $2500 for Relay for Life.

No-Shave November ends at the end of the month at which point officers and staff members will return to their normal grooming habits.

If you would like to make a donation, please bring checks to:
