Westfield, IN – Today Westfield Mayor Andy Cook issued an Executive Order (attached) in support of Governor Eric Holcomb’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency for all Indiana residents as it relates the COVID-19 pandemic. The state Stay-At-Home order gives local, county and state authorities broader authority to enforce social separation recommendations from the State Board of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“We know that social separation will be the only way we ‘flatten the curve,’” said Mayor Andy Cook. “The governor’s bold step today sets the stage for the city to do its part. I have asked our law enforcement personnel to help in this effort, but more importantly I ask our citizens to do their part.”

Last weekend, Mayor Cook ordered all Westfield city buildings closed to the public. All essential city services will continue uninterrupted, but within proper social distancing guidelines.
