Joe was raised in Westfield, Indiana. He attended Westfield schools and then received a degree in business management from Butler University. Joe spent most of his professional career in business finance. He owned and operated Edwards/Steele Financial Services until 2005.
Joe has served on several boards throughout Hamilton County. He held several positions with the Westfield Lions Club from 1973-2013. Joe is also on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Quaker Hill Foundation. Joe served on the Westfield Town Council from 1980-1991.
Joe has been married to his wife Jo Ann for 54 years. They have two children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
