This mama is going to be VERY upset if the splash pad is closed because we paid/booked a pavilion for this weekend on Sunday for my son’s birthday party for use of the splash pad, and we have a lot of little kiddos who will be disappointed.

Bummer about the splash pad 😞

I thought it was just supposed to be closed for routine maintenance?!?! It’s STILL summer!!!

When we visited a few weeks ago the water seemed off. The pressure was low and the kids moved on to the playground. Maybe this was the beginning of an issue requiring longer maintenance

Why is it closed so early??

Lauren - Saw the splash pad update & thought of you 💦

Carolyn Sandahl Caitlyn Strawn.. closed already!!

I read a comment in a Westfield chat group that a child contracted flesh eating bacteria from this Splash Pad. I feel like the city of Westfield would have released a statement if that were true, but, after seeing this post, with it closing abruptly, I’m starting to wonder... any truth to that? Parents need to be aware if that were the case so they know to watch their children closely!

Its ot even Labor Day

City of Westfield Parks & Recreation

You may have seen this story on WTHR-TV. The City of Westfield Parks & Recreation Splash Pad is super fun. It is a freshwater system- we don't recirculate or reuse the water. This means it is fed from the water main and does not require chemicals. The runoff is collected and reused in the irrigation system.
